PRESPA 2025 - WAC International Encounters Conference (WAC2025)

In MIGRATING VOICES, walking is not just a means of movement but an act
of listening, sensing, and connecting. We explore how migration has shaped
our places, our memories, and our sense of belonging.
The short episode of the work-in-progress we are presenting in Prespa
highlights the encounter between two groups of walkers, invisible in our
walled-off world:
People fleeing war, famine, social conflict, or climate change—thousands
forced to cross on foot the vast Arizona desert, marked by ravines, muddy
waters, extreme heat, and treacherous currents—and the volunteers who
walk from dawn to dusk across the desert, distributing water and providing
medical care and legal assistance to endangered human beings.

Open to all. No prior experience required. Come as you are.
